Obituary for Margaret Clair Navorska

Margaret (nee Binder) Navorska, 82, Faithful, Committed, Loving.
Margaret (nee Binder) Navorska, 82, of Ashland, went to glory on March 12, 2012, while surrounded by family.
Margaret was born May 25, 1929 in Schenectady, New York. She was preceded in death by her parents George Joseph and Mary (nee Bunting) Binder. She graduated from Oceana High School in 1946 and attended Moody Bible Institute. Before her calling as a homemaker and mother, she was employed by Ford Motor Company and the U.S. Government as a clerk/typist. She also worked as a telephone operator.
Margaret married the love of her life, Donald Navorska on June 3, 1951.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and bird watching. As an active member of her church she served as a deaconess, participated in Women’s Missionary Council, the Builders Adult Bible Fellowship class, the Mary-Martha Women of Grace, and the membership committee. Margaret faithfully visited the residents of Brethren Care, sharing God’s love and faithfulness. As an officer’s wife, she taught English to foreign born military wives and led Bible studies.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 60 years, Donald R. Navorska, Lt. Col. US Marines, retired; and her seven children, Donna Raye Navorska of California, Donald Roy, Jr. (Linda) Navorska of South Carolina, Drusilla Rose (Dominic) Fatica of Willoughby, Dorothy Robyn Navorska of Georgia, David Reuel (Shalane) Navorska of Tennessee, Diana Ruth (Raymond) Sullivan of Arkansas, and Darlene Rachel Navorska of Tennessee. She is also survived by six grandsons, five granddaughters, one grandson-in-law, and three great-grand children.
She is preceded in death by her brother George J. Binder , sister Ethel Binder Gizzi, and son-in-law Henry Nezrick Jr..
A celebration of life service will be conducted by Pastor Norm Johnson at Grace Brethren Church, 1144 W. Main St., Ashland on Saturday, March 17, 2012, at 3:30 p.m. The family will receive visitors at the church from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 16, 2012. She will be laid to rest at Strickland-Evans Cemetery.
