Kathleen S. Norris, 69, Retired Schoolteacher

Kathleen S. Norris, 69, of Ashland, passed away following a sudden illness, on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at Hospice of North Central Ohio.

Kathleen was born April 13, 1942 in Ashland, Ohio to the late Loya and Martha (nee Roberts) Warnes. She graduated from Northwestern High School and then continued her education at Ashland College. Kathleen graduated from Ashland College with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education in 1964.

She married the love of her life Larry E. Norris on November 13, 1965.

Kathleen taught second grade at Ashland City Schools for 32 years until she retired. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Delta Kappa Gamma, and the Art of Gardening Garden Club. She enjoyed gardening, making doll houses, and spending time with her sons and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband of 46 years of marriage, Larry, Kathleen will be deeply missed by her two sons; Daniel (Jennifer) Norris of CA and Duane (Marsha) Norris of KY, three grandchildren; Samuel Norris, Amanda Ferrell, and Rachel Norris, two sisters; Carolyn (Myron) Amstutz of Ashland and Jane (John) Slater of Apple Creek, and a brother; Ed ( Bev) Warnes of MI.

Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call Monday, April 2, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 508 Center St., Ashland, OH 44805. A Memorial service will follow, at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Sanford C. Mitchell officiating. A private family burial will be held at Ashland City Cemetery.
