Obituary for Patricia Darlene Oberholtzer (Fasig)

Pat Fasig Oberholtzer, 81, of Jeromesville, OH passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Brethren Care.

Pat was born June 9, 1934 to Rex and Gladys Fasig in Wayne County. She attended Chester High School and graduated with the first graduating class from Northwestern High School in 1952.

Pat married the love of her life, Jack Oberholtzer on June 17, 1956. They met 60 years ago at the Loudonville Street Fair. Pat always enjoyed boating with her family at Lake Erie and in Florida. She enjoyed the lifelong friends she made in the Friendship Study Club and during her years bowling in the Koffee Klatch bowling league at King Lanes. She also loved singing around the camp fire or piano with her beloved siblings.

Their three children, Craig (Kim) Oberholtzer, Jody (Nina) Oberholtzer and Jackie (Scott) Young will all miss her unconditional love, hugs, and support.

8 grandchildren, Chad (Kelly) Oberholtzer, Nikki (Eric) Moore, Julie (Ryan) Emmons, Jason (Jenna) Young, Cody Oberholtzer, Beck Oberholtzer, Robby Young, and Max Oberholtzer. 7 great grandchildren: Drew & Brook Oberholtzer, Emmett & Maggie Moore and Ella, Olivia and Ava Emmons. Pat loved to attend her grandchildren’s sporting events and was always the loudest supporter in the stands. The grandchildren will always remember the special funny songs that Grandma sang to them over and over.

Pat is also survived by six siblings, Elly (Walt) Rice, Donna Jean (Jake) Keener, Don Fasig, Leatha (Dick) Franta, Ron Fasig, and Barb Fasig. Her sisters and brothers meant the world to Pat. They met weekly and if you happened to be in the same restaurant as they were, you would know it by the loud laughter. Everyone in the restaurant always wanted to be with the Fasig crew, because they were the ones having the most fun!
Jack, their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her siblings… Family meant everything to Pat.

She was preceded in death by her parents Rex and Gladys Fasig and her in-laws Frank and Ruth Oberholtzer.

The family will receive friends 11 A.M. TO 1 P.M. in Jack’s Place @ Trinity Lutheran Church, Ashland, Ohio Monday August 31, 2015. The Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. immediately after calling hours in the Sanctuary.
