Timmy Wayne Phillips, 35, of Ashland passed away Saturday, August 20, 2016.
He was born September 6, 1980 in Bad Brückenau, Germany to Mark W. and Diana (nee Smarlicke) Phillips.
Timmy proudly served in the United States Army during the Iraqi Freedom War for seven years. He was honorably discharged from the service in 2007 as a Combat Engineer.
Timmy was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing on Lake Erie, hiking, and spending time with his family.
Timmy is survived by his son, Tyler Phillips of Ashland; mother, Diana Phillips of Ashland; his father, Mark Phillips of Ashland; one sister, Tracy (Kevin) Harris of Ashland; one brother, Mark Phillips of Ashland; his paternal grandfather, William L. Phillips of New London; and his maternal grandmother, Seiglinde Fletcher of Bad Brückenau , Germany.
Timmy is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Helen Phillips; his maternal grandfather George Smarlicke; and a cousin, David Milligan.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Grilley officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Shiloh where the Ashland Veteran’s Honor Guard will conduct full military honors. Friends may call Friday, August 26, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
