Dorothy Daniel, 93
Dorothy Daniel, 93, of Ashland went to be with the Lord on February 18, 2017 in the Kingston of Ashland.
She was born to Harry and Anna Mae Harper Ochier. Dorothy was one of the founders of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
She worked at Eagle Rubber, where she was President of the union. Upon retiring from Eagle Rubber, she worked at Burger King as a hostess for several years.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Donna Renner, Delaine McGhee, Darlene Miller, Dennis (Michelle) Smith, DeWayne (Linda) Smith, Drusilla (William) Caldwell, Dean Daniel, Dana (Sharon) Daniel, and Danita (Terry) Rickett; 37 grandchildren; 58 great grandchildren; and 36 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her sons, Darrell Cansler, and Donald Smith; one daughter, Denise Smith; and stepsons, William “Pete” Daniel and Ronald Cansler.
Funeral services will be held, Friday, February 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church, 220 Sandusky Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805 with Reverend Delaine McGhee officiating. Interment will follow in the Ashland Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the church.
