Obituary for M. Emojene Bedwell

M. Emojene Bedwell, 90

M. Emojene Bedwell, 90, of Ashland, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017 at University Hospital Samaritan Medical Center following a brief illness.

Mrs. Bedwell was born in Ashland on July 23, 1926 the daughter of Tom and Mary (Eichelberger) Harrison. She was a graduate of Ashland High School class of 1944 and had been a resident of Ashland her entire lifetime.

She had worked at Faultless Rubber Company, U-Brand Corp., and retired from the A.L. Garber Company in May of 1990 after 25 years with the company. She then worked part-time for Book Masters from 1991 to 2001.

She was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church. She also volunteered for Hospice of North Central Ohio and for the Emmanuel United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed doing ceramics & crafts, reading gardening, and watching the Cleveland Indians.

On August 18, 1951 she was married to Robert L. Bedwell who preceded her on April 30, 2001.

She is survived her children, Michael (Joyce) Bedwell; Steven Bedwell; Bruce (Linda Horn) Bedwell; and Sharon Parker, all of Ashland. She is also survived by two grandsons, Christopher Luce of Ashland and Clinton Bedwell of Portland, OR; three great granddaughters; and one sister, Doris Weekley of Tampa, FL.; and her cats Mitz and Callie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Bedwell, a son Gary Bedwell on April 24, 2007 and one brother Carl Harrison, wife Carol and two infant brothers.

Funeral services will be held, Friday March 31, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Reverend Ignatius David officiating. Interment will follow in the Ashland County Memorial Park. Friends may call Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
