George Raymond Tyson, 88
George Raymond Tyson, 88 of Frametown, West Virginia, formerly of Ashland County went to his heavenly home, Tuesday afternoon, March 28, 2017 following an extended illness.
He was born on September 12, 1928 to the late Aaron and Martha Elizabeth (nee Kolb) Tyson in Lattasburg, Ohio.
George attended Chester High School. He was self-employed as a Logger & Timber Cutter and Fur Harvester for more than 60 years.
He was a longtime member of Grace Brethren Church of Ashland where he ushered for 20 years and attended the Elk River Baptist Church in Frametown, West Virginia.
Goerge is survived by his loving daughter, Sandra (James) Samples of Frametown, West Virginia; three sons, Daniel E. Tyson of Norwalk, Dennis A. (Bruce Neveau) Tyson of Arcadia, Florida, and George Aaron (Lisa) Tyson of Coshocton; one step-daughter, Connie Dawson of Killbuck; 10 grandchildren; five step grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; one sister, Pat Hart of Ashland; one brother-in-law, Gaylord (Marjorie) Elson of Ashland; nieces and nephews, Diana Apidone of Ashland, Jeff Hart of Shelby, and Gary Hart of Ashland.
In addition to his parents, George is preceded in death by his wives, Mary Elizabeth (nee Fox) Tyson and Lavera (nee Hostetler) Tyson; two sisters, Mildred Gray and Pauline Johnson; his brother Raymond Tyson; and two nieces Karen Milligan and Kay Heaton; and one nephew, Russell Gray.
Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Reverend Dan Allan officiating. Interment will follow in the Mohican Church of the Brethren Cemetery in West Salem. Friends may call two hours prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
