Doris M. Zeledon, 82
Doris Marie (Shenberger) Zeledon, 82 died June 26, 2017 at her home unexpectedly due to natural causes.
She was a loving mother and devoted wife.
Doris was born February 12, 1935 in Mansfield, Ohio to David and Mildred Shenberger.
She and her family moved to Ashland where she attended school and graduated from Ashland High School in 1953. She went on to San Antonio, Texas where she attended IPI Bible College.
There she met the Love of her life, Claudio Zeledon. They were married May 20, 1954 after Claudio graduated from Bible College and began their journey as missionaries to many countries including several locations in the US.
They moved to California and then onto Hayesville, Ohio where they raised their four children.
After their children were raised they moved to Florida where they assisted their son in a family business.
They came back to Ohio after living in Florida for thirty years to retire. They had just celebrated sixty-three years of marriage this past May.
Doris is survived by her husband, Claudio; four children, Judy and Mark Calderhead of Lexington, David and Annette Zeledon of Columbus, Daniel and Laura Zeledon of Plantation, Florida, and Suzzanne and Gregg Keener of Ashland; thirteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and two brothers, John Shenberger of Sandusky and Larry and Karen Shenberger of Ashland.
In keeping with Doris’ request a private service will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2017 in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Hayesville Vermillion Cemetery.
