Obituary for Schavel Rennee ""Chevy"" LaRue (Buzard)

Schavel “Chevy” R. LaRue, 56, of Ashland, passed away Thursday evening, July 20, 2017 following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Ashland on August 3, 1960 to the late Richard and Frances Mae (Weaver) Buzard and had been a resident of Ashland for most of her life.

She had owned and operated Chevy Ceramics in Ashland. She had also tended bar at the Club 42 for 12 years and most recently had worked as a Home Health Care provider.

She was member of the Ashland Eagles Club #2178.

She was always staying active and enjoyed many activities such as doing puzzles, painting & drawing, gardening, landscaping, bingo, playing darts and bowling.

Surviving are her two children, Michael Jason Buzard and Lora Mae LaRue both of Ashland; three grandchildren, Connor LaRue, Haley Buzard and Tyler Buzard; her soulmate, Brian Eagle and his daughter Jeweleeanna Eagle of Ashland; and her sister, Sharon J. Murch of Kenndallville, Ind.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Bradley “Butch” Baxter.

Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 27, 2017 at the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 8:00 p.m. with the Major Larry Shade officiating.
