Doris Louise Robinson, 89
Doris Louise Yeagley Robinson passed away at the age of 89 on July 21, 2017 at The Good Shepherd Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Growing up in Ohio, Doris was the youngest of 4 girls in the Yeagley family. She loved her family very much, especially the close bonds she had with her sisters; Bernice, Betty and Donna. She met her husband, Henry S. Robinson, on a blind date. They had celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary earlier this year. Sadly, Henry "Robby" passed away February 24, 2017 at the age of 91. She missed him desperately, but she is now reunited with him in heaven along with reuniting with her daughter, Laura Benson (2009) and son, Michael "Mickey" (1961) who passed away at the tender age of 5. What a great reunion they must have had!
Doris loved to be creative; from sewing, crafts, crocheting, painting and refinishing furniture and antiques. She was a wiz at crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles which kept her mind sharp. She had fun bowling and golfing with her lady friends. Doris was a dynamo on Wii bowling with her husband. They played every morning and you could hear them laughing and joking the whole time. She loved playing and whistling church songs on her electric organ. Sitting around the kitchen table with her sisters, laughing and telling stories, were sweet memories for her. She greatly missed her sisters as they preceded her in death. You want to bet that their at a kitchen table right now in heaven, laughing with each other again.
Doris is survived by her daughter, Marcia Robinson; Max Friend (brother-in-law) nieces and nephews, cousins, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
We are so grateful for the exceptional care she received from The Good Shepherd Skilled Nursing facility and OhioHealth Hospice.
