Gerald “Jerry” E. Priest, 74

Gerald “Jerry” E. Priest, 74 of Norwalk, passed away, Tuesday, September 5, 2017 in his home.

He was born on January 22, 1943 in Bowling Green, Ohio.

Jerry retired after more than 25 years from Janesville in 2012. He went on to work for the Rail Road in Sandusky retiring for second time in 2017.

He enjoyed fishing and watching NASCAR throughout his life, but most of having family get togethers.

Jerry is survived by five daughters, Subrenna (Steve) Hite of Olena, Dettra Price of Willoughby, Sedeanna Howman, Brittany (Art) Dewiel of Norwalk; one son, Scott (Jenny) Priest of Norwalk, and Dawn Freeland, of Norwalk; a son-in-law, John Galloway of Portsmouth; numerous grandchildren; and great grandchild.

In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his life partner of 35 years, Lillie D. Rudd who passed away, April 20, 2017 and one daughter, Judy Galloway.

Interment services will be held, Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. in the Fitchville Cemetery with a grandson, Arnold I. Amburgy officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home, 313 Center Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805 to assist the family with final expenses.
