Mary Falb Smith, 88
Mary Falb Smith, 88, of Ashland, formerly of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away late Saturday evening, November 11, 2017 in the Good Shepherd Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born January 28, 1929 and lovingly adopted by the late Elias and Elizabeth (nee Lehman) Falb of Kidron.
Mary was a receptionist at the Cleveland Clinic for many years. Throughout her life, she lived by her motto "There's no reason to be unkind to anyone." She was a compassionate nondenominational Christian who loved her family and those who shared her life.
She is survived by one niece, Violet (George) Gilmore of Ashland, one nephew George (Penny) Falb of Polk, a niece-in-law, Patricia Falb of Wooster and numerous great nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband Chad Smith who passed away, July 26, 2004; one nephew, Terry Falb on May 9, 2016, by three brothers, Dennis, Isaiah (Ike), and Paul and by one infant sister, Bertha.
Funeral services will be held, Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Curtis Bauske and Joyce Tuttle officiating. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Memorial Park in Fallston, North Carolina beside her loving husband. Friends may call two hours prior to the service from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
