Obituary for Thomas F. Provateare

Thomas F. Provateare Sr., 84

Thomas F. Provateare Sr., 84 of Ashland passed away, Monday, November 27, 2017 in his home.

He was born on June 15, 1933 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Samuel and Anne (nee Garrett) Provateare.

Tom graduated from John Adams High School, Class of 1952. In July of 1953 he Proudly joined the United States Army and was stationed in Worms, Germany, 2nd armored division. Tom was honorably discharged in May of 1955.

He retired in 1991, after working more than 36 years, from Emory Airfreight (CF Conway).

Throughout his life, Tom served in many offices of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the V.F.W.

Tom’s latest office that he had held was Sgt. Of Arms of the Ashland Veteran’s Honor Guard.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Donna L. Provateare of Ashland; four daughters, Theresa (Terry Specht) Mlckovsky, Michelle Provateare, Shari (Albert) Manfut, and Gina Provateare; three sons, Timothy, Thomas Jr. (Cynthia), and Patrick (Diane) Provateare; two step daughters, Michelle (Sam) Meuler and Kelly Anderson; several nieces and nephews; a son-in-law, Joeseph Mlckovsky; several grandchildren, Michael (Jamie) Mlckovsky and Ann Marie Woyma; step-grandchildren, Samantha and Bailey Meuler; several great grandchildren; and two sisters, Jean Barbic and Agnes Pokorney.

In addition to his parents, Tom is preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Exton.

Funeral services will be held, Monday, December 4, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Reverend Don Earlenbaugh officiating. The Ashland Veteran’s Honor Guard will conduct full military honors. Interment will be in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Friends may call two hours prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1050 Dauch Drive, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
