Dorothy Overchuk Cain, 84
Dorothy Overchuk Cain, 84 of Perrysville, formerly of Ann Arbor, MI and Findlay, OH passed away, Saturday evening, December 9, 2017 in Heartland Health Care Center in Ann Arbor.
She was born May 20, 1933 to the late Alexander and Margaret (nee Revelok) Overchuk in Cleveland, Ohio.
Following her high school graduation, Dorothy proudly served her country during the Korean Conflict in the United States Air Force. During her duration of service, she worked in the Pentagon as a teletype operator.
Dorothy retired from Saline Hospital in Saline Michigan where she was a licensed practical nurse. She loved her career, and was a nursing professional for over 27 years.
She is survived by one daughter, Susan Cain of Ann Arbor, Michigan; and one son, Don Cain of Columbia City, Oregon; seven grandchildren, Andrew Walton, wife Ashlea, Eliot Truesdell, Jayne Truesdell, husband Josh Poehlein; Michael Cain, Hannah (Cain) Siegler husband Ryan; Harrison Cain, wife Roiseann, and James Cain; five great-grandchildren Isla, Sienna, and Myles Walton, Catie and Theo Cain; and one sister, Adeline Murray.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by one son, John Cain; and two brothers, John Overchuk and Raymond Overchuk.
Interment will be Friday, December 22, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, OH. A meal and time of fellowship will follow at Bella Bleu’s at Water’s Edge Event Center in Ashland.
