Obituary for Evajean L. Warren

Evajean Shriver Warren, 93

Evajean L. Warren, 93 of Ashland passed away, Monday, January 8, 2018.

Evajean was born to George M & Olive Hartman Shriver at the Shriver Family Farm Home, south Clearcreek Township, Ashland County, Ohio on July 2nd ,1924. At the age of 14 she accepted Christ as her personal Savior, was baptized, joined the South Clearcreek Church of Christ and remained a member all of her life. After moving to Wooster, she attended the Northview C&MA Church. September 1930 she entered first grade at Savannah Consolidated School and graduated with her high school class in May, 1942.

She married a high school classmate, Theodore “Ted” Warren in October, 1943. Ted passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2014.

She was employed from September 1950 to August 1958 as a secretary at the Shelby Metal Products Company, Shelby, Ohio; from August 1958 to July 1962 she was employed as secretary/receptionist at the Ashland City Board of Education Office, Ashland, Ohio; from July 1962 to November 1967. She was employed as office manager and secretary to the Director of Admissions at Baldwin-Wallace College, Berea, OH; from November 1967 to retirement on December 1986 she was employed as an Administrative Assist to Division Chiefs at NASA Lewis Research Center. (John Glenn Research Ctr.) Cleveland, OH.

She and Ted relocated to Anderson, SC and in January 1987 to July 1992, she was employed in the Alumni Office of Clemson University, Clemson, SC

In March 1995, she and Ted returned to Ohio and settled in Wooster, OH.

Evajean is a member of the National Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution (ancestor Christian Fast); & also a member of the Daughters of a Union Civil Was Veteran (ancestor John R Shriver) & also a member of the Sarah Copus Ashland Chapter of the DAR.

She is survived by daughter, Judith Boyce and son-in-law, Dr. B R Boyce; grandchildren, Natacha Poirrier and grandson In- law Brett: great grandchildren, Bailey, Emily, Brayden Poirrier all of Baton Rouge, LA. Grandson, Gus Boyce of Philadelphia, PA. seven nieces: Carol Parker Engel, Mansfield, Pat (Arden) Fitch, Pam (Ron) Koppler, Portia Hamilton, Paula (Clair) Watts,Peg (Howard) Keller & Phyllis (John) Lariscy all of Ashland.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Thelma Hartsel; brothers-in-law, Gerald Parker, Marion Hartsel. Fran Warren snd sister-in-law Donna Warren.

Interment will be in the Savannah Cemetery.
