Obituary for Clark W. Roland Jr.

Clark W. Roland Jr., 80, passed away Thursday evening, February 1, 2018 at University Hospital Samaritan Medical Center, following a lingering illness.
Clark was born in Ashland, Ohio on February 4, 1937 and was the son of Clark W. Sr. and Martha (Harbaugh) Roland. He had been a resident of Ashland his entire life.
He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict.
Following his service in the Army, Clark returned to Ashland and worked at Faultless/Abbot Laboratories as a supervisor in the receiving department for 34 years before he retired.
Clark was a Past Commander and Canteen Manager for the Am Vets Post 96 in Ashland. He was also a member of Harry Higgins Post #88 in Ashland, Perrysville Post 8586 of the V.F.W, a member of the Ohio State Association of Veterans Service Commission and the Army/Navy Garrison.
On June 14, 2002 he was married to Faye Rush who survives him. He is also survived by a daughter, Virginia Fannnin of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Lauren & Kelli Spinks; a great grandson, Archer Ludwig; Two step children, June (Lance) Morris of Ashland and Rondy (Chris) Gill of Lenore, NC; Step grandchildren, Megan & Mekenzie Harrod, Kevin Morris & Dustin Gill; a step great grandson, Bryson Morris; his sister, Bonnie Bowman of Ashland; his brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Terry & Bea Murphy of Wooster, and Mary Jane Pestalitz of Ashland and her son James Pestalitz of Ashland.
Clark was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Mary, and his two brothers, Dean and Dale Roland.
In keeping with Clarks wishes, cremation will take place. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date with interment in the Ashland Cemetery.
