W. Franklin Strickling, 84
W. Franklin Strickling, 84 of Ashland passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018 in Ohio Health MedCentral Hospital.
He was born December 15, 1933 in Ashland to the late Roy and Rosa (nee Wertman) Strickling.
Frank married the former Judith Ann Studer on August 24, 1968, the couple would make their home in Ashland.
He was an Architect for more than 40 years having been employed with many firms during his tenure.
Frank was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. In his earlier years, he was a Scout Master and played church fastpitch softball. He has enjoyed traveling throughout his life and was an avid Ohio State University fan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Judy Strickling of Ashland; one daughter, Jenny (Rick) Ewing of Ashland; one son, Marc (Lisa) Strickling of Ashland; ten grandchildren; and two sisters, Shirley Null of Ashland and Nancy (Gerald) Johnson of Ney, Ohio.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held, Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Peace Lutheran Church, 1360 Smith Road, Ashland, Ohio 44805 with Reverend Karen Liddy officiating. Interment will follow in the Ashland County Memorial Park. Friends may call Wednesday (today), February 14, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Peace Lutheran Church, 1360 Smith Road, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
