William E. "Bill" Prosser, 87
William E. "Bill" Prosser, 87 of Ashland passed away, Wednesday, March 21, 2018 in the Good Shepherd Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born September 26, 1930 to the late M.J. and Leona (nee Leatherman) Prosser in Bellaire, Ohio.
Bill married the love of his life, the former, Waneta “Needy” Davis on January 10, 1953. The couple would call Ashland home.
He retired after more than 35 years from the Ohio Department of Transportation. Bill was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed woodworking and camping at Mohican with his wife and children.
Bill is survived by his wife of 65 years, Needy Prosser of Ashland; two daughters, Martha (Keith) Crone of Ashland and Ellen (Robert) Keets of Ashland; one son, Bill (Kathy) Prosser of Dublin; six grandchildren, Tom (Amy) Crone, Mary (Serguei) Crone-Romanovski, Kerri (Bryce) Thiel, Katie (Ryan) Ramsey, Meredith Prosser and Steven Prosser; six great grandchildren, Caeden and Zoe Crone, Westin and Hadley Thiel, and Alex and Isaac Ramsey; and two sisters-in-law, Susie Tracy of Barnesville and Ina Prosser of Medford, Oregon.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and one sister.
Funeral services will be held, Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Namy officiating. Interment will be in the Ashland Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
