Faith G. Conner, 100

Faith G. Conner, 100 of Ashland passed away, Wednesday, March 21, 2018 in Belmont Tower at Brethren Care Village.

She was born on August 9, 1917 in Milford, Indiana to the late William and Marie (nee Cory) Ryman.

Faith married the love of her life, Myron A. Warstler on October 29, 1935.

Together the couple worked hard and became the co-owners of the Archway Cookie business in Ashland in the 1950’s. Faith took flying lessons in her earlier years at the request of her husband who was a pilot just in case anything ever went wrong. They traveled all over the United States for the business and for pleasure. She and her children have many fond memories helping out in the bakery. Unfortunately, she lost her husband suddenly and sold the business several years later.

Faith would later marry a career Navy officer, Wayne E. Conner on December 31, 1960. Together the couple enjoyed living in Orlando, Florida after his retirement as Wayne worked with Walt Disney World as an early Imagineer.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Faith loved her family, playing cards, needle work, traveling, and playing golf.

Faith is survived by one daughter, Sondra (George) Goard of Ashland; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Warstler of Grand Island, Florida; seven grandchildren, Dyanne (Mark) Britton, George “Ed” (Sandra) Goard, Darcy Warstler, Chauncey (Dodie) Warstler, Catherine (Cliff) Campbell, Calico (Wayne) Johnson and Tamara (Bill) Reader; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Faith is preceded in death by her first husband Myron in 1958 and her second husband, Wayne in 1992; one son, Larry D. Warstler in August of 2017; four brothers; three sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Reverend Tom Snyder officiating. Interment will be in the Ashland Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.

In lieu flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 220 Sandusky Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805 or to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1050 Dauch Drive, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
