Wilfred “Bill” J. Bendig, 80

Wilfred “Bill” J. Bending, 80 of West Salem passed away, Thursday, August 23, 2018 in his home.

He was born on September 12, 1937 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Bill was a loving husband. He loved fishing and hunting. Bill loved making fishing lures and often gave them to people to see the expression of happiness on their faces. He enjoyed making people laugh.

He quit school to join the Navy; having enlisted for four years and being honorably discharged. Bill’s biggest dream was to live by the lake and he was able to achieve his life long dream in 2006 when he moved with his wife Lucinda. He enjoyed fishing everyday.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Lucinda Bendig of West Salem; and his canine companion, Russ, both will miss him greatly.
