Paul F. Wittman, 89 of Ashland passed away, Monday, October 1, 2018 in the Good Shepherd Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born on June 16, 1929 to the late Fred and Emma (nee Alverson) Wittman in Ashland.
Paul graduated from Ashland High School Class of 1947. Following graduation, Paul proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He married the former Marjorie A. Mosher on September 6, 1953.
He retired from the A.L. Garber Company in 1994 where he was a die maker for many years.
Paul was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. He enjoyed hunting in his earlier years and traveling with his family. Paul was also a member of the V.F.W. Post 1067 in Ashland.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Mrs. Marjorie Wittman of Ashland; two loving daughters, Barb (Roger) Piatt of Ashland and Lori (Howard) Glick of Ashland; and one grandson, Casey Glick of Richmond, Virginia.
In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Karth and Norma Metzger.
Funeral services will be held, Friday, October 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Koch officiating. Interment will follow in the Ashland Cemetery where the Ashland Veteran’s Honor Guard will conduct full military honors. Friends may call Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Peace Lutheran Church, in memory of Mr. Fred and Mrs. Emma Wittman, 1360 Smith Road, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
