Clarence L. Marty, 88, of Ashland, passed away Tuesday evening October 30, 2018 at Crystal Care Center in Ashland.
Marty was born in Duka, West Virginia on September 8, 1930 to the late Jacob R. & Mary E. (Spicer) Marty.
He grew up helping his father on the family farm when he was younger, he also drove truck for a few years and later retired from the Budd Company in Ashland.
He was a member of the N.R.A. and the Yesteryear Club in Ashland.
He enjoyed working on, restoring and showing old tractors.
On July 14. 1975 he was married to Luella M. (Clark) who preceded him in death on April 24, 2014.
He is survived by his children, Charles (Michele) Baker, Sharon Green, Frank Gamm, Mary Dixon, JoAn Frye and Donna Zigler; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and two sisters, Bertha Cline of Beloit and Vera Geisleman of Wooster.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Luella; a daughter, Diana Baker; a sister, Emma Jane Cline and three brothers, Charles and Ralph Marty and Wilbert Pearl.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 5, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Chaplain Doug Olson officiating. Burial will be in the Ashland County Memorial Park. Friends may visit from 12:00 noon until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
