Obituary for William Arthur ""Bill"" Inks

William Arthur “Bill” Inks, 80, of Ashland, passed away Monday morning, August 15, 2011 at Hospice of North Central Ohio following a lingering illness.
Bill was born in Washington, PA. on May 7, 1931 to the late Parshall Wendell and Matilda Parker Inks. He has been a resident of Ashland most of his life moving here following his service during the Korean Conflict.
He served his country as a member of the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.
He had worked in the Maintenance Department at the F.E. Myer/Pentair Co. for over 25 years retiring in 1995.
He was a member of the Myers Quarter Century Club and was a former member of the Harry Higgins Post 88 of the American Legion. Bill enjoyed music and loved to play his guitar. He also enjoyed tinkering with automobiles.
On March 13, 1987 he was married to Janet M. Crossen who survives him. He is also survived by fie daughters, Dale Arnold of Ashland; Lyda (Robert) Barr of West Salem, OH; Traci (Jerry) Pletcher of Lexington, OH; Susi (Mike) Hamilton of Pasadena, MD; Rebecca (Allen) Lederhouse of Ransomville, NY; two sons, Bruce Inks of Anchorage, Alaska; Tom (Vicki) Marsh of Suffolk, VA; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; four sisters, Parsilla (Melvin) Honsaker; Dorothy (Phil) Thomas; Liz (Gerard) Gray; Bonnie (Joe) Galaska; and one brother, Robert (Dee) Inks.
Bill was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia Inks, his parents, and five brothers, Wendell Inks, Matthew Inks, Parshall Inks, James Inks and an infant brother Ralph Inks.
As was Bill’s request, there will be no calling hours of services observed. The family requests that memorial contributions, in his memory, be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1050 Dauch Dr., Ashland, Ohio 44805, the Polk-Jackson -Perry Fire Department, 209 E.
