Obituary for Beth Ann Miller

Beth A. Miller, 79

Beth A. Miller, 79, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019, after a brief illness. She is at peace now being united in heaven with her husband and true love William, whom she married June 29, 1973.

She was born April 28, 1939, in Crestline, Ohio to Doris and Aaron Solinger, and a resident of Ashland since 1971.

She was a member of Emanuel United Methodist Church and the Senior Club, having graduated in Shelby, Ohio in 1957. She retired after working for 25 years in the office at J.C. Penny, briefly volunteered at Samaritan Hospital, was a poll worker at the Board of Elections, gate worker at the Ashland County Fair, and had a passion for sports, especially The Ohio State Buckeyes and her grandchildren’s sports.

She loved to read and had over 100 books by her favorite author.

She leaves behind daughters, Julie (Joseph) Dewey of Florida, Janie (Tim) Rogers, Jill Simon (Shane Queer) of Ashland, and Pamela Kuhn of Mansfield; sons, Michael (Jill) of Medina, and John (Maria) of Washington state.

She would like to thank all her children who were there for her in the years she was alone. She also leaves behind her brother, Edward (Judy) Solinger of Twinsburg, Ohio, and sister, Shaaron (Elwin) Muntz of North Carolina, her 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, stepchildren Jim, Bill, Darlene, Debra and great grandchild Emeri Billinghurst.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in Emmanuel United Methodist Church with Reverend Jeff Coggins officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A meal and time of fellowship will the follow. Interment will be in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
