Obituary for Jeffrey S. Moore

Jeffrey S. Moore, 42

Jeffrey S. Moore, 42 of Jacksonville, Florida passed away, Tuesday, March 5, 2019.

He was born May 24, 1976 to Roger and Ellen (nee Smith) Moore in Wheeling, West Virginia.

Throughout his life, Jeffrey was an avid football and baseball enthusiasts. He was a fan of the Florida Gators and the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Recently, Jeffrey had become very actively involved in Evangel Temple of the Assemblies of God church in Jacksonville, Here, he had been very willing to put to use his knowledge and skills as a licensed electrician, as he helped his fellow Christians to reach out to the hungry and homeless people on the northside of Jacksonville. So grateful to be in mission at this church was Jeffrey that he was heard to exclaim, “I am so excited to be able to reach out to these hungry and homeless people because I have so long been obsessed with what I wanted to do for myself! It’s so good to put others’ needs ahead of my own!”

Jeffrey is survived by his loving parents, Reverend Roger and Ellen Moore of Ashland; two sons, Jacob and Joshua Moore of Jacksonville, Florida; one sister, Jenny Moore of Ashland; and two nephews, Caleb Moore and Christopher Mills.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Myron and Iva Smith; and his paternal grandparents, C. Victor and Eloise Moore.

Memorial services will be held, Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. in the Christ United Methodist Church with Reverend Laura White officiating. Interment will follow in the Savannah Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the church.
