Richard "Rick" L. Park, 62
Richard "Rick" L. Park, 62 of Ashland passed away, Wednesday, March 13, 2019.
He was born on January 29, 1957 to the late Gail and Stella (nee Nanigan) Park in Ashland.
Rick graduated from Ashland High School, Class of 1975.
He was employed at Ashland University in the Facilities department for many years. Rick was a tireless worker in the AU athletic facilities taking great pride in his work, especially in the appearance of the Kates Gymnasium floor. He enjoyed interacting with the athletes and following their athletic careers.
Rick was an avid outdoorsman who embraced the opportunity to go fishing. He also enjoyed lifting weights and riding his motorcycle, but most of all he loved to attend both Ashland University athletic competitions and Ashland High School football.
He is survived by one sister, Jan Kinney of Columbus; one brother, Jim (Mona) Park of Ashland; three nephews, Jake Kinney of Brooklyn, New York, Will Kinney of Columbus and John Cahill of Millersport; and one niece, Jessica Cahill.
In addition to his parents, Rick is preceded in death by his nephew, Josh Kinney.
Family will receive friends in a time of fellowship to celebrate Rick's life on Sunday, March 24, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home.
