Obituary for Virgil D. Strine

Virgil D. Strine, 84

Virgil D. Strine 84 of Myrtle Beach, S.C., formerly of Ashland went home to enjoy heavens beautiful gardens on March 13, 2019.

Virgil was born May 22nd, 1934 to the late Clyde and Leina Strine in Ashland County.

He served in the Army in the Korean war and married Jeanett Sheldon Dec 31st 1959.

He was with his companion of 20 years Pam Howman at the time of his passing.
 
Virgil worked at Flxible Company in Loudonville, GTE Phone Company Cellular Connection, Walmart and was a member of the Eagle Club and VFW of Ashland.

Virgil went out of his way to help others, He enjoyed his last 7 years living in Myrtle Beach where he made many friends taking in the beautiful sites he so often spoke about.
 
He leaves behind a brother, Ervin (Bonnie) Strine; two daughters, Kathy (Earl) Farley and Tina Leflore; one son Robert Strine; three granddaughters, Amanda (Brandon) Fisher, Amanda Smith, and Adend Leflore; one grandson, Eric (Jessica) Trukovich; two nieces, Ronda (Ron) Lowe and Traci Wolkinson; and great nieces and nephews, Rayan and Melissa Wilkinson.
 
In addition to his parents; Virgil is preceded in death by his wife, Jeanett Shelon; and a son-in-law, Chuck Leflore.

An interment service will be Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. in the Chestnut Grove Cemetery where the Ashland Veteran's Honor Guard will conduct full military honors. For those who wish to process to the cemetery, please meet at the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home at 12:00 p.m.

I would like to thank Pam Howman for always being there and she will always have a special spot in our family. Virgil will be greatly missed by many.
