Sigh (Hazel) Foster, 86
Heaven received an extraordinary gift this week. They welcomed Sigh (Hazel) Foster into their kingdom. She will be bringing her love, her humor and her unlimited faith of her creator. She enters the kingdom of heaven eagerly without fear or doubt of any kind.
We can almost hear her saying;
Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.
Surrounded by her children, Sigh Foster, formerly of Mansfield, OH, passed away on January 20, 2013 after a short illness.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Mayflower Congregational Church, 548 McElroy Road, Mansfield, with the Rev. Gary Wilson officiating.
Visitation will be held at 5:00 – 7:00 PM on January 22, 2013 at Denbow-Primm-Kemery Funeral Home, Ashland, OH. Burial will be at Mansfield Memorial Park. The family requests Sigh’s family and friends join them for a celebration of her life in the Fellowship Center at the church, following the burial.
Sigh was born in Huron, Ohio on December, 1926. She graduated from Huron High School, before marring John F. Foster, to whom she was married for 21 years until his untimely death in 1969.
She is survived by her four children and eight grandchildren, John (Geneva) Foster of Columbus, IN (Nikki Ruble & Stacy Urich) Charlene Wilson of Ashland (Damon Wilson, Jason Wilson, Leslie Kerestes, Nathan Wilson) Jerry Hooper an her husband Howard, Pelee Island, Ontario (Kristen Merklinger, Brandon Hooper) and Jeanne Foster (Milo) of Durham, NC. Sigh is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
Sigh was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Susan Sayler, two sisters, Naomi and Helen as well as her husband John.
