Goldie (Rose) Braden, 67, of Savannah, passed away early Saturday morning, July 25, 2015 at her residence following a seven year battle with cancer.
Goldie was born in Logan, West Virginia to the late Milton and Myrtle Rose. She had been a resident of the Ashland area for most of her life.
She was a homemaker.
Goldie enjoyed many things in her life. She enjoyed painting, gardening and taking care of her yard, bowling, sitting on her back yard swing, taking care of her animals, bird watching, cooking, but especially family time with her husband, children and grandchildren.
On December 28, 1973 Goldie was married to David P. Braden Sr. who survives her. She is also survived by five children, Norman Hill of Ashland; Carrie Cogar (Paul Burch) of Savannah; Barbara Braden of Savannah; Crystal Pence (Juma John) of Savannah and Paul Braden (Lee Anne Thornton) of Savannah; 9 grandchildren; two great grandchildren and two brothers, Eddie Rose of Brook Park and Steve Rose of Mansfield.
Goldie was preceded in death by her parents, her previous husband, Douglas Hill, sisters, Julie Jarvie, Carol Ellis and an infant sister Carrie Rose and two brothers, Mac Rose and Paul Cornett.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Earlenbaugh officiating. Burial will be in the Imhoff Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio 1050 Dauch Dr, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
