Steven A. Nommay, 60

Steven A. Nommay, 60, of Perrysville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday morning, September 9, 2015 surrounded by his family.

He was born on January 22, 1955 to the late William and Barbara (nee Martin) Nommay in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Steve graduated from Ashland High School, Class of 1973. He was employed by Thermo-Tec for nearly 20 years in Greenwich.

Steve enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and working on his 1972 Nova. He was an avid eagle watcher at Mohican. Steve was a loving father and grandfather, his children meant the world to him.

He is survived by one daughter, Staci (Ron) Gray of Ashland; two sons, Chris (Jamie) Nommay of West Salem and Russell Nommay of Ashland; two step sons, Gary (Amanda) Imhoff of Mansfield and Dustin Imhoff of Ashland; special friend and love of his life, Pamela Ruckman of Perrysville; nine grandchildren, Amber Howell, Riley Gray, Colton, Kailynn, and Cora Nommay, Cabella Ballard, Connor, Bransyn, and Hunter Imhoff; one brother, William “Bip” Nommay; and three sisters, Mary Ann Nommay, Diane (Keith) Campbell and Judy Nommay Glenn, all of Ashland.

In addition to his parents, Steve is preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Nommay.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home, 313 Center Street, Ashland, OH 44805 with Reverend Father Rodney A. Kreidler officiating. Interment will follow in the Ashland County Memorial Park. Friends may call Monday, September 14, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Staci Gray, 313 Center Street, Ashland, OH 44805 for Steve’s grandchildren’s education fund.
