Glenna Maye Miller Donelson, 79
Glenna Maye Miller Donelson, 79, of Ashland, died at Hospice Center of North Central Ohio on July, 20th, following an illness of several months.
She was born in Ashland County, on December 21, 1936, to Glenn C. and M. Venora (Poulson) Miller. She lived in Ashland County most of her life and attended Jeromesville High School.
Glenna worked as a shift supervisor at the Sohio Truck Stop 250 in Ashland for several years, where she taught many young people how to enjoy and take pride in food service work. She also owned and operated Serenity Ceramics at her home in the Widowville area. She retired from Automatic Welding and Manufacturing in 2002, where she had worked as a secretary/receptionist. Glenna attended Trinity United Methodist Church where she had been active in the Willing Workers.
She was accomplished at needlework and quilting and entered her quilts in the Ashland County Fair for several years.
Glenna is survived by two daughters, Sandra Donelson, of Ashland, and Deborah (Ed) Clemens, of Upper Sandusky; one son, Randal Donelson (Gary Sales), of Mineral City; one sister, Opal Jean Perry of Chardon, two granddaughters, five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Dwight Donelson, Jr, whom she married in 1953, one brother, Doyle Dean Miller, and one sister, Dorothy Faye Davis.
Funeral services will be held, Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with the Reverend Shaun Green officiating. Interment will be in the Jeromesville Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects one hour prior to the service at the funeral home for 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
