Sharon L. Anderson, 67, of Ashland, passed away Thursday morning September 8, 2016 at Ohio Health MedCentral Hospital in Mansfield.

She was born in Ashland, Ohio on April 23, 1949 to the late Benjamin J. and Ruth Lenore (nee Thompson) Tilley. She had been a resident of Ashland her entire life and was a 1967 graduate of Ashland High School.

She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, traveling, and activities with her church family. She was an avid animal lover and volunteered at the Ashland Animal Shelter. She taught Sunday school and was a very active member at Ashland Grace Brethren Church. She volunteered on the Ashland County Cancer Association Board and was a supporter of Peppy Paws Pooch Park.

She was beloved by her family, friends and all she met.

She had worked at Faultless (Abbott) Laboratories as an executive Secretary from 1981 to 1999. She also in retirement worked part-time at Mason, Mason & Kearns Attorneys in Ashland. Sharon married Theodore D. "Ted" Anderson on January 14, 1983.

She is survived by two sons, Doug Anderson of Ashland, Daniel (Heidi) Anderson of Lacrosse, Wisconsin; one daughter, Julie Anderson-Collins and her husband Shawn of Lakeland, FL; four step-sons, Larry (Nga) Anderson of Chandler, AZ; Dirk (Leeann) Anderson of Naples, FL; Corby Anderson and Tyler Anderson both of Ashland. Nine grandchildren, Corey Anderson, Justine Anderson, Taylor Collins, Meghan Collins, Julia Anderson, Jenna Anderson, Jacob Anderson, and Madelyn and Evelyn Anderson; two great grandchildren, Karsen and Penelope; and one brother, Rick Tilley of Ashland.

In addition to her parents, Sharon is preceded in death by her husband of 28 years Ted Anderson whom passed away, December 12, 2011.

The family will receive guests at Ashland Grace Brethren Church, Sunday September 11, 2016 following the 10:30 morning worship service. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date for family and friends.
