James A. “Jim” Daniels Sr., 87
James A. “Jim” Daniels, Sr., 87, of Polk passed away, Friday, April 7, 2017 in University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
He was born on May 28, 1929 in Rocky River, Ohio to the late Willow and Olga (nee Anderson) Daniels.
Jim married the former Patricia Leine on August 23, 1951.
He retired after more than 30 years from the Ford Motor Company where Jim was an electrician in Avon, Ohio.
Jim was a devoted member of Peace Lutheran Church. He enjoyed farming throughout his retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mrs. Patricia Daniels of Polk; one daughter, Linda Forest of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; a daughter-in-law, Tana Daniels of Polk; two granddaughters, Rebekah Forest of Barcelona, Spain and Rachel (Nathan) Heilmann of Denver, Colorado; one grandson, Andrew (Leah) Forest of Baltimore, Maryland; and two great grandsons, Charlie Heilmann and Anderson James Forest.
In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his son James A. Daniels II who passed away December 26, 2014; and his brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held, Monday, April 17, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Peace Lutheran Church, 1360 Smith Road, Ashland, OH with Reverend Karen J. Liddy officiating. Interment will be in the Red Haw Cemetery with a meal to follow the burial at the church. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the church.
