Mark C. Newcomer, 52
Mark “Worm” C. Newcomer, 52, of Ashland passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday morning, July 11, 2017 in University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center.
He was born on October 10, 1964 in Ashland to Willard Dean and Kay (nee Kaizan) Newcomer.
Mark graduated from Ashland High School, Class of 1983.
He was employed at Liqui Box in Ashland for more than 10 years. Mark loved to play golf and watch the Cleveland Brown and Indians throughout his life. He enjoyed making beef jerky and distributing it to his family and friends.
Mark will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Bev Newcomer of Ashland; his mother, Kay Spreng of Ashland; his father, Dean Newcomer of Copperas Cove, Texas; one son, Matthew Newcomer; two daughters, Stephanie (Raini) Moss and Shelley (Brian) Artrip; five grandchildren; two brothers, Mike (Phil Biddinger) Newcomer and Dranston Newcomer; one sister, Amber (John) Fadeyi; a special friend, Shari Krichbaum; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Mark is preceded in death by his father, John Spreng; his grandmother, June Newcomer; and an infant daughter, Cassidy Marie Newcomer.
In keeping with Mark’s wishes he was an organ donor and was able to change more than 100 different individuals’ lives from his donation.
A Celebration of his Life will be held, Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Northwest Ohio Chapter, 2131 Park Avenue West, Suite 123, Ontario, Ohio 44906.
