Constance "Connie" Gault Bendixen, 66, born in Ashland, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at her daughter's home in Kansas City, Missouri. Prior to living in Kansas City, Connie lived in Columbus, Ohio and Salt Lake City, Utah.
She is survived by her husband Dr. Leo E. Bendixen, a retired professor of The Ohio State University, her twin sister, Christine Daly and her husband Peter Daly of Richmond, Virginia; her brother, Alfred Gault and his wife Olga Gault of Las Vegas, Nevada; and her children Megan Martin and Megan's husband Daniel Martin and son Dash Martin of Kansas City, Missouri; Matthew Wolfson of Ashland, Ohio; and Mark Wolfson of Salt Lake City, Utah; and her nephew Thomas Gault of Washington, DC. Connie was proceeded in death by her parents, Merl and Dorothy Gault of Ashland, Ohio, and by her brother Gary Gault of Cleveland, Ohio.
Connie earned a Bachelors degree in Literature and a Masters degree in Library Science from Brigham Young University. She was a librarian for over 30 years and served as the Library Director in Ashland and as a Children's Librarian at the Wooster Public Library.
She was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. After her college education she served a year and a half mission in Japan, and in her retirement she served as an ordinance worker in the Columbus, Ohio Temple.
A private interment will take place in the Ashland Cemetery on Tuesday, (today) September 5, 2017. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are in the care of the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home.
