Jason David “J.P.” Patterson, 29 of Ashland passed away unexpectedly, Friday, December 22, 2017 in his home.
He was born on February 6, 1988 to David and Denise (nee Rafeld) Patterson in Ashland.
J.P. was a 2006 graduate of Mapleton High School. He was employed at Liqui Box and previously at O’Bryan’s for many years.
He will be most notably remembered as being a deep hearted fun-loving guy. J.P. had an endearing smirk, who loved to crack jokes and make those around him laugh.
Throughout his life, J.P. loved to play video games, play basketball, notorious for his deep three point shot and follow his idol, Larry Bird, and loved his two younger sisters.
J.P. is survived by his loving parents, David and Denise Patterson of Ashland; two sisters, Sarah (fiancée John Fitzpatrick) Patterson of Columbus, Amanda Patterson of Columbus; his paternal grandfather, Richard Patterson of Ashland; aunts and uncles, Tammy (Rick) Rondy, Tim (Debbie) Rafeld, Lee (Kim) Rafeld, Michael (Mary) Patterson, Jane (Stephen) Ziegler, and James (Pamela) Patterson.
J.P. is preceded in death by his maternal grandparent, Roger and Myra Rafeld; and his paternal grandmother, Erva Jean Patterson.
Funeral services will be held, Friday, December 29, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Christ United Methodist Church, 1140 Claremont Avenue, Ashland, Ohio 44805 with Reverend Thomas Snyder officiating. Friends may visit with the family following the service in the church lounge until 3:00 p.m. Friday afternoon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family, David and Denise Patterson, 823 Township Road 1101, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
