Obituary for Virginia B. Boreman (Kuhn)

Virginia B. Boreman (Kuhn)
ASHLAND - Virginia B. Boreman, 99, died peacefully April 12 at Wasen Rehabilitation Center in Ashland after a very brief and sudden illness.

Ginny was born August 6, 1918 in Shelby, OH, the daughter of Harry R. and Laura B. Kuhn, was a graduate of Shelby High School, and was married June 27, 1942 to Robert E. Boreman, who preceded her in death on September 3, 1968.

Her great accomplishment in life was being a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will always be remembered as the smiling and friendly face in the office of Gilbert Furniture Company and later in life making and serving up candy at Sweeties Jumbo Chocolates.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was an eager volunteer in the life of the church. She loved golfing, bowling, playing cards, and baking, and had an exemplary work ethic, employed well into her 80’s.

She is survived by a son, Thomas H. (Holly) of Wooster OH; daughters Malena J. (Ron) Puster, Nancy A. (Bob) Young of Hayesville and Judy K. (Al) Mowrer of Wooster; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. One son, Robert B. of Ashville, NC preceded her in death as well as her parents and six siblings. She is also survived by a nephew, Karl G. (Mary Anne) Kuhn of Rocky River, OH.

The family wishes to extend their sincere and heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Wasen Rehabilitation Center, who treated her with kindness and loving care.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on Saturday May 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Eric Riesen officiating. a private family committal service took place in the Ashland Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10:15 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. The family will also receive friends during a luncheon following the Memorial service, at the church.

In honor of Ginny and in lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to The Wasen Rehabilitation Center, 2000 Center St., Ashland, OH, 44805; or a charity of your choice in her name.
