I read Liz's obituary on the Midterm Elections Day. So I took Liz to the polls with me, so I'd have this wonderful and feisty woman with me, as I voted straight down the line in blue. I gave 'em What For, Liz, said I inside my head, in case anyone around me would think I'm crazy. Liz applauded. What an astounding person you were, Liz Pastor. Jimmy and I haven't seen you in too many years now, but whenever we were together, we had a big time. You played a song for us once at your home full of art, but mainly we knew you as a really strong supporter of the visual arts. When you played for us, I knew what a huge talent you have. My father used to play ragtime piano by ear, but you are something else, shall I say glorious. Yes. Rest in peace, after all your years of being that great proponent for the arts, audible and visual! You and your cats! The world is less feisty on the surface now, but now you can be anywhere you like, so I'd say the world is more feisty, beyond the surface. Thank you for being our friend, Liz!
