An Act of Kindness

In 1999, I was going through a particularly difficult time in my life. I had been a pastor at New Song Community Church where Jan was attending but at this point in my life my family had begun attending Linworth Road Church in Worthington. I was doing a lot of traveling for my ministry and was somewhat isolated from my church community. At Christmas time I became seriously ill and was in the hospital for 11 days. During this time, Jan visited me in the hospital, to express her concern for me as her brother in Christ. I will never forget her act of kindness. To this day, whenever Jan would come to my mind, I think of her visit to me in the hospital.

Jan always demonstrated a love for Christ and a remarkable loyalty to those who were part of her church family. She will be missed.....but we all look forward to seeing her again in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ.
