Theodore Wayne Cremeans, 68
Theodore “Ted” Wayne Cremeans, 68 of Ashland, formerly of Hilliard, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 in Grant Medical Center from complications following heart surgery.
Ted was born on August 28, 1947 in Ashville, Ohio to the late John and Gladys Cremeans.
He graduated from North Union High School in Richwood, Class of 1965. Following high school, Ted served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Ted graduated from the Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s Degree. He married the former Theresa K. Etgen on December 6, 1975
He was employed at the National Electric Coil Company in Columbus. Ted retired in 2010 after more than 35 years of dedication. He held many positions over the years, making many life-long friendships.
Ted was an avid golfer throughout his life. He was a member of the Ashland Golf Club, where he enjoyed playing in the Cooper group and daily with his buddies. He was formerly a member of Heritage Golf Club in Hilliard. Ted was also a member of the Ashland Elks Lodge, #1360.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Theresa Cremeans of Ashland; daughter, Julie Cremeans-Smith of Canton; son, Theodore “Ted” Wayne (Jodie) Cremeans Jr. of Bellbrook; grandsons, Nathan Smith of Cuyahoga Falls and Teddy Cremeans of Bellbrook; sisters, Juanita (Bob) Miller of Ostrander and Doris Jean Cowgill of McComb; and brothers, George (Thelma) Cremeans of Groveport and John (Joyce) Cremeans of New Richmond, Wisconsin.
Ted is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held, Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Reverend Don Earlenbaugh officiating where the Ashland Veteran’s Honor Guard will conduct military honors. Friends may call two hours prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ashland Golf Club, 1333 Center Street, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
