Message: Nick and I met in the spring of 2007 on a chance encounter. Maybe that's how a lot of friendships begin. But when I think about all the great times we had together - sharing in our mutual passion for music, and all the wonderful people I have met through Nick...it's hard for me to imagine what the last nine years of my life would have been like and what kind of a person I would be today had I not gone into El Dorado's on that Wednesday night. All I can say is that the sadness I feel over his loss is outweighed by the many fond memories I have of him. RIP, my friend. You are missed by all who knew you.

Message: I met Nick about 15 years ago. I was joining a band with several musicians that Nick had previously played with. The band needed a bass player and they recommended that I learn to play bass from Nick. He was an excellent and patient teacher. I credit him with the fact that I now consider bass to be my primary instrument, and when I enjoy playing I often think of how grateful I am to him for teaching me. However, what impressed me even more about Nick was how warm, friendly and caring a person he was. I never met anyone else who seemed to so sincerely care about the people in his life more than Nick, and I will always remember him for that.

Message: Nick was a wonderful person. I'm deeply saddened by his passing. I'd like to extend sincere thoughts and prayers to the family and all the friends whose lives Nick has touched. You will be missed my friend.
